The Reduced Gravity Student Flight Opportunities (RGSFO) program is sponsored by NASA and administered by the Texas Space Grant Consortium, and provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to propose, design, fabricate, fly and assess a reduced-gravity experiment of their choice. The experience includes scientific scholarship, hands-on test operations and education/outreach activities.

Selected teams travel to Houston, Texas to fly their experiments aboard NASA's KC-135 aircraft. This airplane, nicknamed the "Vomit Comet," provides researchers with approximately 25-second long periods of weightlessness. It is operated by NASA's Johnson Space Center and flown out of Ellington Field.
